Carpenter CEO Departures Carpenter to leave NAMI Barry Carpenter will retire as CEO of the $11M-revenue North American Meat Institute later this year.Carpenter was CEO of the North American Meat Association when that group merged with the American Meat Institute in 2015 to become NAMI. He told CEO Update in 2017 that he had planned to retire before the merger was complete, but agreed to stay on to lead the new organization through its infancy.
